Our History...

dates back to 1985, when a small group of private foundations began to meet informally to share information, network and learn from each other. As the philanthropic community grew, so did the interest in establishing a formal organization — a structure that would unify and expand Arizona's diverse philanthropic community. In 2000, Arizona Grantmakers Forum hired a part-time Executive Director and began to develop programs. Encouraged by a growing membership, resources and a desire to create a community of grantmakers, we incorporated and elected officers on June 21, 2001.
