2010 Census Has Arrived!

The 2010 Census is underway and it's very important that everyone be counted. Data from the census will not only impact our representation in Congress, it will also guide critical community decisions that can help make positive improvements to our community. Each year, the federal government distributes more than $400 billion to state, local and tribal governments based on census data. This funding is used for vital services such as new roads, hospitals, schools, social services and more. The 2010 Census, without question, can make a significant difference in the quality of life for our neighbors, our families and our communities. Please encourage your family, friends and neighbors to participate in the census. Visit 2010census.gov for additional information and resources.

Charities Pour Millions Into Upcoming Census Count
Foundations and nonprofit organizations are taking an unusually active role in this year's U.S. Census, spending millions of dollars on campaigns to bolster participation from minority and low-income people, National Public Radio reports.
