First or Most Interesting Job: I was a section hand for the Illinois Central Railroad during the summer between freshman and sophomore years in college. That mean I laid ties and rail for two-and-a-half months. I lost 45 pounds worth of accumulated beer and pizza and came away very convinced that manual labor was not the future I wanted for myself.
Hobbies/Favorite Pastime: I enjoy stamp collecting, golf, hiking & photography, baseball, and travel.
Your Path to Philanthropy: It starts with a commitment to community. That's been part of me since childhood, part of the family DNA in a way. It took me through 20 years as a journalist and then a natural transition into corporate affairs/corporate community relations.
Current Position: Director-State Government Relations/VP-Community Relations, Wells Fargo
