Education Funders Affinity Group

AGF has recently re-established our Education Funders Affinity Group, a peer learning network for funders who are interested in improving education in Arizona. The goals the affinity group are to:
    1) Learn what other funders are doing to support education in Arizona
    2) Identify key questions funders have about the state of education in Arizona
    3) Begin to address some of these questions with the expertise in the room.

AGF Members and other Arizona grantmaking organizations are welcome to participate. If you are a funder who is interested in supporting education initiatives, please feel free to join our group (small fee for non-AGF members). Contact us for more information.

Past Program Highlights:
    12/15/09 - During this session attendees learned more about the new Accio Education Fund, a "venture capital" type of charitable fund created by ACF and Helios to support the development and expansion of innovative education reform efforts for the benefit of Arizona students.     9/29/09 - Karla Phillips, the Governor's Chief Policy Advisor for Education, discussed the state budget and federal education funding and how they will affect the Governor's agenda for education in Arizona.
    4/9/2009 - Rodel Exemplary Principals shared their secrets to success for raising student achievement.
